Something most people don't know about me is....1. I don’t do hard workouts 2. I taught at Harvard 3. I once earned a bronze medal in the Olympics………(2. high school) (3.senior-softball)
When I'm not running I like to.....play basketball, softball, golf, word jumbles, and hang out with my trophy wife
I am inspired by everyone and no one.
An obstacle or challenge I’ve overcome with my running….being bald and having short legs.
The local runner I most admire is.....not so much for running accomplishments, but how much some people give unconditionally to the running community – Ron Leonhardt, Larry Swanson, Steve Korn, Larry Ward, Tanya Thayer, and many, many, many more, thank you to “all of you”.
To push myself on a run, I.... don’t push myself on runs, except races – then I let my fragile male ego take over.
My greatest running accomplishment is..... finishing the last 6 miles of the 2008 Rockford Marathon into the icky north wind.
I’m leery of goals, however, I’d like to be competent in CHI running without thinking about it.
My advice to other runners....Wear Nike Free 3.0 shoes from Runner’s Image, land flat footed (except going down hill), don’t over strive, and don’t judge that, which you do not choose.
I plan to run until....death do us part (running is a marriage, isn’t it?!). |
